He has served churches in Salem, Minneapolis, Oak Harbor and Anacortes. His education includes a B.S. from Willamette University in math and physics, an M.Div. from Western Seminary in Portland, and a Th.M. from Regent College in Vancouver, BC. Pastor Fakkema is ordained in the Christian Reformed Church and serves as pastor of the Anacortes CRC. He will be teaching Advanced Math and Bible at NWCHS.
